Our Family Journey

We received DNA Authorization! That's another hurdle done. What it means is that our attorney had to submit the birth certificate for Flora and several documents from the birth mother to the US Embassy. The US Embassy has now given our attorney authorization to perform the DNA test on the birth mother and on Flora. This will prove they are maternally matched. The DNA test must be performed by a US Embassy approved physician. If all goes well the DNA test will come back with a 99% match. If so, we will move on to Pre-Approval from the US Embassy and Family Court with the Guatemalan Government.
